Alex
Kosseff
Lead Instructor
Alex is an avid rock and ice climber, telemark
skier, and backcountry adventurer. Over the past fourteen years
he has led wilderness programs and taught climbing in twenty-two
states. Alex is a lead instructor, course director, and staff
trainer for Outward Bound and is the former Leadership Director
for the Appalachian Mountain Club where he managed safety and
leader training for over 9,000 outdoor trips each year. This
experience is the basis for his successful book, the AMC
Guide to Outdoor Leadership. Alex currently provides leadership
training and risk management consulting for the outdoor industry
as Program Director for Adventure Safety International LLC.
