Tired
or bored of lift served skiing? Ever wonder what
lies beyond? Concerned about safety and cost?
MMA’s Bridger
Bowl backcountry ski program is for those who
answer with an emphatic “yes!”
Bridger Bowl is world-renowned for
its fantastic terrain and great powder. This program
utilizes Bridger’s lifts to access the backcountry
through a gate to the north or south. The terrain
and powder are similar, but there is a big difference:
less people. This program covers how to use skins,
skinning technique, avalanche awareness, and techniques
for skiing powder. Backcountry skiing experience
is not required, but participants should be able
to comfortably ski or snowboard intermediate runs;
and be in good physical condition.
MMA supplies all of the specialized
gear for backcountry travel: skis with AT bindings
(or split-boards for snowboarders), skins, transceiver,
shovel and probe. This winter earn your turns
with MMA’s qualified instructors and take
in the marvelous world backcountry skiing few
people have experienced.

Participant to instructor ratio:
3:1
Cost per person: $135 plus $35 for a special rate
lift pass
